Mantua Model of Italy presents this authentic 1:50 scale replica of a typical Mississippi riverboat ship model kit built around 1870. Construction uses laser cut wooden parts in high grade plywood and walnut. You’ll strake the hull with individual wooden strips, using limewood for the first layer and walnut for the second. Strip wood is also supplied for starking the decks and cabins. A complete set of wood, brass and Britannia metal fittings are included. You’ll outfit your finished Mississippi riverboat model with aluminum smokestacks with brass rings, silk-screened pennant and colorful decals.
